Review of Alligator (1980) by Matthew L — 03 Oct 2010
One of the stone cold cult classics in the 'giant monster' on the loose films, that came in the wake of Jaws. Written by indie favourite John Sayles, who had also scripted Jaws homage Piranha, this ticks all the boxes and covers all the cliches.
A fun romp all the way with solid direction from Teague even if it manages to include one of cinemas ultimate taboos, the death of a child.
