Review of All the King's Men (2006) by Andrew S — 28 Jul 2017
You need to see this film.
This work is greatly misunderstood - it's not just about a grass roots politician's questionable ethics and his path to corruption. It's an in depth study of the human condition. It details one man's quest for power, another's search for redemption, another's quest for honor, and another's search for moral truth, and how each are inextricably part of the same tapestry of qualities that make us all human.
There are political themes, but this film is so much more. Critics panned it, but if they did they certainly didn't understand the power of its commentary.
