Convoluted plot. Overwrought score. Emotionally vacuous. None of the actors can pull off a Louisana accent. Kate Winslet is the only reason I watched the movie (I've seen all her films), but she doesn't appear for the first hour, and when she does appear, the script gives her nothing to do.
Bad movie.
