Review of All That Jazz (1979) by Corey B — 03 Aug 2009
Fosse's most personal film may be messy, overlong, and pretentious, but I would be hard pressed to find another film with as much energy, inventiveness, and sheer nerve than All That Jazz.
The musical numbers are great, the story wonderfully dark, and Scheider is absolutely fantastic (it's almost impossible to believe that this is the same guy from Jaws and The French Connection).
