Review of All That Heaven Allows (1955) by A R — 16 Jul 2007
I don't know, I'm such a sucker for melodramas. Particularly Douglas Sirk's melodramas. This is a wonderful film, really quite subversive for any Hollywood studio in 1955. Cock Hudson's performance is.
.. pretty status quo. But the performances are never the high point of a Douglas Sirk film.
