Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Vite M — 18 Mar 2007
Even if it's outdated, AQOTWF has a powerful anti-war message. It starts off slow, but was captivating once fighting commenced. I don't know how accurate it is portraying the German peoples' feelings about war during that era, but I'm assuming that these attitudes resonate with many societies.
While watching this, I was reminded of a friend in the marines serving in Iraq. He was gung ho about serving and now he's counting down the days until he's out.
