Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Matt A — 09 Jul 2007
This 1930 film, made 77 years ago, still packs a visceral gut punch that will leave you breathless, especially during its (still) spectacular war scenes. Raw and unflinchingly honest even by today's standards.
"Saving Private Ryan" owes its existence to this movie.
