Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by William F — 13 Jan 2009
An anti-war film whose imagery and directorial deftness is supposed to evoke and change the audience. This film - albeit exceptional - still seems clunky when compared to other anti-war films, especially Grand Illusion, or even The Deer Hunter and Platoon.
