Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Shounak B — 04 Mar 2013
This film delivers very strong and heart rending message against the war and is called a classic one for its vast approach on that silent-become-talkie era of pre-30s.This one,an anti war film, focuses the suffering, the inner changes of the soldiers' mind during the war and maybe this is the one on that rare league in this genre what tells us the story of a losing country in a war being very unusual as it is well known that history of winning country is written always as well as being filmed.
Surely an experience when one can watch those bombardments, injuries, starvation pull out nakedly the actual pride of being a soldier, being a part of those warlike massacre.
