Review of All About Eve (1950) by Giano P — 02 Jan 2010
Sharp dialogue, brilliant pacing, a fine direction by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, and brilliant subtle performances are all the things that elevate this classic Best Picture winner. Bette Davis strikes wonderfully in this film, it almost feels like she's playing herself.
Thelma Ritter and Celeste Holm are also impressive here.
