Review of All About Eve (1950) by Jennifer D — 02 Feb 2010
Sit back, men. The women are bringing out their claws. From the first 30 minutes I thought this was going to be another long, trudging "good for you" film, but I was surprised by the end. It was a great, powerfully acted film about ambition, usurping and greed.
I did enjoy the feminist aspect taken with it, especially for the 50s. I totally enjoyed my first Bette Davis film and she was wild and crazy and perfect for the part.
