I finally get why the film is still quoted from time to time. I gathered that this was probably one of the first "Hollywood" films about the realities of Hollywood itself. All the roles in this film can be the roles that we play in life, everything from the narrator, the drama queen, the temptress, prostitute, liar, etc.

Bette Davis was amazing, and I'm disappointed to discover that she did not get the "oscar".
