Review of All About Eve (1950) by Jonathan B — 13 Jan 2018
The somewhat slow beginning sets the stage for Eve Harrington (played wonderfully by Anne Baxter), a seemingly naïve girl with a love for Margo Channing. As the story progresses, the faked innocence of Eve is slowly exchanged with the insatiable drive to replace Margo.
While the story may seem to drag at places, I feel it is necessary to the progression of the story. The unique filming and chronology complements the mood and emotional connection to the characters.
