Review of All About Eve (1950) by Milly B — 28 Apr 2013
Although the humour is somewhat a bit dated and not very funny, All about Eve is still surprisingly refreshing, helped by a superb script. Best watched as a melodrama. Bette Davis is outstanding as the actress past her prime, and one truly detests Eve as the conniving arriviste.
And smile at Marilyn Monroe in one of her first roles. Strongly recommended.
