Review of Alive (1993) by Andy C — 28 Apr 2013
A decent if not stellar adaptation of the true story of a rugby team stranded in the Andes mountains after their plane crashes. The only problem with the production would have to be the central issue of cannibalism.
The survivors of the ill-fated crash managed to get through 2 months of hell because of their choice to eat the dead. This film curtails the issue and uses it as a backdrop as these men hike through the Andes to find help.
Still, the film is effective and worth a look.
