Alita: Battle Angel (2018) Film is Adapted from.
The 1990 Manga Series "Battle Angel Alita", that runs for 9 Graphic Novels.
To give some detail without spoiling anything.
Alita lost her memories a long time ago, and was left in the junk yard that sits just below a floating city, Doctor Ido a "cybernetic doctor" finds her while looking for scrap to help fix other cyborgs in the Scrap Yard city, he see's her and is shocked that she is still alive, he takes her back with him, fixes her, and that's when she awakes in the trailer without memories of who she is At least for now.
