Review of Alita: Battle Angel (2019) by Sosayweall — 01 Aug 2019

A masterpiece turned into a mediocre teenage movie. What a shame... The goods : The cast was fine for the most part, Gunnm looks fine to me. The bad : the second most important character of the movie : the city, is butchered.

.. it's all shiny and almost clean and crips, when the city should have been dark, rusty and dirty. The liberties taken with the story are ridiculously crying to appeal for teenagers... "let's bundle while playing a rollerblading game".

.. nonesense. Gunnm is my favorite, I really wanted to like the movie... but I'm not 16 years old, so I unfortunately can't.
