Review of Aliens (1986) by Btzneb92 — 12 Aug 2012
With all the discussions on which installment was better than the other, I honestly cannot say. The two are drastically different in tone, with the first film focusing a lot more in horror elements and has a more quiet subdued and mysterious feel to it, while this film is a lot more balls-to-the-wall crazy and a lot more action-oriented than the earlier.
To me, they're both equally great in their own different ways, along with the fact that they're both carried by one of the strongest female protagonists in cinema. The film has it faults though, mainly on plotholes.
But still, classic.
