Review of Aliens (1986) by Seth M — 29 Aug 2013
Alien or Aliens? That is the question. No one made better science fiction/action movies than James Cameron. They are both incredible science fiction movies but Aliens is the action movie while Alien is more of a horror movie.
Cameron did not get to work with any elements of surprise like Ridley did. No, he had to build on and improve the extra terrestrial and technological part of the story and to his credit he succeeded. While this one is probably more fun to watch, as it is an elite modern action movie, the original Alien is the more viscerally powerful film and I give it the slight edge.
