High on style but low on plot, with the curse of Whedon's half-assed writing in full effect, Jeunet's vision is stymied by a turgid final act and a script he didn't have input in. More enjoyable than Alien 3 (which suffered from exactly the same issues) but sadly hard to recommend to anyone other than a dedicated Ripley fan.
