Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Jessica B — 04 Sep 2010
An ok addition to the Alien franchise.
MPAA Rating: R.
Runtime: 109 minutes.
Tagline:
It's been more than 200 years...The beginning has just started.
Plot:
It's been 200 years after the death of Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), but now she is revived as a clone. A human alien hybrid clone and continues to battle against the evil aliens.
Plus:
Decent action sequences with some scares thrown along the way. Sigourney Weaver is as good as ever while Winona Ryder is a good addition to the cast.
Minus:
The alien human hybrid theory and scientist breeding aliens isn't all that great. Also, how much can you see of the same old stuff? I saw this just to complete watching the series.
Overall:
Well, if you've seen the first 3 alien movies, watch this to complete the series. Though not as good as 1 or 2, it isn't as bad as 3. Others can safely give this a pass.
MY Rating: 6/10.
