Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Ken S — 19 Jun 2012
The final movie of the "Alien" series, and it is completely different than the other three. We find Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) as a cloned human being 200 years after she made the ultimate sacrafice.
The humans have cloned her with the queen alien inside her so that they can harvest the alien species and use them. Bad idea all together, these humans have no idea what they're dealing with. Ripley is basically superhuman and dominates the movie like always.
You also get some pretty good performances from Winona Ryder and Ron Perlman, but the whole cast all around is pretty impressive. I was very impressed with the special effects in this movie and how they made the queen alien.
The storyline isn't all that bad either, its just way different then the others which a lot of people didn't like, but I found it to be quite entertaining. A couple of twists in turns in this chapter, don't go in expecting too much and you might actually enjoy this film.
Still, the worst out of the four. 3/5 JD.
