Review of Alice in Wonderland (1951) by Tom R — 09 Jul 2011
Alice in Wonderland is uneven and lacks a connected plot, but as Alice said, "If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense." If you can put up with nonsense, you'll enjoy the movie.
At least the animation in the film is at Disney standard and it's short. It's like Wizard of Oz due to its whimsy and quest-like story, but the Wizard had far better musical numbers, more developed side characters, and a more threatening villain.
But Oz is a masterpiece and Alice in Wonderland is an okay Disney film.
