Review of Agora (2009) by Catherine E — 06 Oct 2010
Very good ideas in the fascinating context of early Christianity (and the inter-religious violence in its wake) and the concurrent development of astronomy and the sciences, although the scientific and political intrigue and plot development are quite simplistic and dumbed down (too bad Robert Graves is no longer around to script such productions); which may explain why the beautiful re-creation of ancient Alexandria and stunning aerial photography steal the show.
