Review of Afterschool (2009) by Michael G — 26 Dec 2009
Afterschool is just another poor attempt showcasing the prototypical modern-day, spineless, psychotic, Columbine kid that is the misunderstood child of today. Though the director did a good job shedding light on the limp-wristed adults governing todays educational institutions, I waited for the payoff that never came.
Just when you thought the main character "Rob" has had enough, he simply bends over in the end. Oh yeah...one more thing...I'll take the artsy off kilter shots of trees and tops of heads, but it's important that the audience hear all the dialog beneath the whispers.
