Review of After the Sunset (2004) by Tim M — 05 Jul 2011
A bit surprised on the low tomameter score. I'd of thought that most critics would've found this to be a god fun film filled with some funny moments, and mild suspense, but I guess I can see their side of the story.
There is a lot of wasted talent in it namely Don Cheadle, but even the leads themselves do feel a bit wasted. Here's a movie with Pierce Brosnan, Woody Harrelson, Salma Hayek, and some good old fun in the sun summertime adventure, but alas it had it's problems.
What won me over was the cat and mouse being played by Brosnan, and Harrelson on top of that these two are supposed to be bitter enemies, but they are also each others only friends in a kind of pathetic way. This isn't an oscar winner, and it's a film trying to be more clever than it really is, but it provides some mild descent fun for about an hour and a half so feel free to check it out if they ever decide to show this on television.
P.s just so you're aware it is a Brett Ratner film the man who almost killed the X-men.
