Review of Æon Flux (2005) by Adam N — 01 Mar 2009
The visuals reminded me of Blade Runner, with an emphasis on oriental stylings. Personally, I find this style attractive, so visually, I think the film was amazing. Storywise is was very simple and very different from the animated series, but it does explain Aeon's seemingly unlimited ability to die over and over again.
Still it had some deeper, almost spiritual and Taoist message behind it. I only wish it had been more fully developed.
