I loved it ! Without the whole religious/cultural clash, this film would be a typical run-of-the-mill romantic comedy. But Ken Loach succeeds where others have failed : he brings originality and above all, reality to his story and characters.

Choosing fairly unknown actors and even non-actors is a risky business but in the end, it pays ! Every role seems true, the performances are simple yet powerful... Overall, Ae Fond Kiss is a refreshing, down-to-earth, feel-good movie !
