Review of Adaptation. (2002) by Mats V — 12 Oct 2012
Kaufman's crazy analysis on what it takes to write a great film has turned out to be one of the greatest films of the 2000's. In my opinion the top 5, along with Tree of Life, Mulholland Dr, There Will Be Blood, and.
. something else. Anyway, I was really feeling shitty one day, and I decided to watch this film. I don't think a film has ever completely captured how I had felt about myself and everyone around me.
The first time I saw it, I saw how many absurd techniques and concepts and odd structuring had came together to make a brilliant, near perfect film. The second time I felt the heart from within as well.
The ending gets me, too. I could go on for days.
