I watched this on the back of Empires best Nic Cage performances article and have to say I enjoyed it. It's exactly what you'd expect from Spike Jonze as well, a bit out there and strange. It really is a strange beast, clearly not enough material in the Orchid Thief book, Kaufman hits upon the idea of the film being about him trying to make that book into a film.
It makes it pretty personal and also has some decent looks at screenwriting. Have to say Brian Cox steals his small scene as the foul mouthed screen writing guru.
