Review of Adam's Rib (1949) by Classic Movie L — 03 May 2007
Great classic ahead of it's time. Katharine Hepburn portrays a lawyer that's a fair supporter of equality of the sexes and who is against the stereotypical preferences Law enforcers have. Spencer Tracy is another lawyer who believes that the law is the law and there's no going around it, no bending the rules.
These two lawyers are - what do you know - married. Both are dealing in the same case: woman who attempts murder based upon adultery of her husband. A brilliant movie! Smart, funny and extremely realistic.
A must see for everyone.
