Review of Across the Pacific (1942) by Chad Z — 29 Aug 2007
This started off a little standard. But it had its perks, as well as a lightness to it. The reunion of sorts from "Maltese Falcon" however amused me. (They even had a similar Sam Spade scene where he looses a tail.
Except without the self-satisfied smirk.) Overall, a little bit corny. But Bogart's pretty much his usual cool in it. "Mine's bigger." There were some fun parts to this film. At best it could be considered film-filler for both Huston, Bogart, and co.
