Review of Absentia (2011) by Matt S — 26 Feb 2012
Watch out for Mike Flanagan. This film is way better than it should be considering the indie budget and newcomer cast and crew. In my opinion, this is a lot better than most horror films period. Great pacing, mounting tension, natural performances from Katie Parker and Courtney Bell, and genuine scares without ever needing a monster suit.
I'm a fan.
