Review of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012) by Danjo S — 07 May 2013
Despite Tim Burton (I'm not a fan of most of his works) having a part in this film I wanted to see it. I saw it as a theater poster; however, I don't ever remember hearing about it being on the 'big screen'. I watched it when it came on HBO On Demand.
I enjoyed the film. I really liked how they used actual history to make a fictional story. Another thing I liked is that they didn't hold back on the vampires. They were blood thirsty and for the most part ruthless. Also, they were thinkers and takers. A lot of films tone vampires down these days.
I don't think I'll forget anytime soon the battles that took place with the horses or on the train. The one with the horses being my favorite.
They did a splendid job! I'd recommend watching it. First though check your reality checker at the door because a lot of what happens is near impossible... But, heck, it's a movie.
