Review of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012) by Thesodomizer — 31 Jul 2018
I can see this being a guilty pleasure for some people but I found it to be a blatant mess. I have to admit it is kind of a cool idea but Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter had more flaws than impressions. The end result is a plot-less black hole. The director didn't know how to use shaky camera for the fight scene so slow motion was used instead and used way to much which resulted in one same action sequence after another. The movie also has weird pacing, first it fast than slow than finally fast again. There is just to many issues that were overlooked. The writing with everything else was so generic and predictable especially the dialogue. Everything mostly falls flat and there is a reason for it.
That being said the acting wasn't half bad and there are some rather funny scenes. It is a ridiculous idea that almost could have worked with proper film makers. It was just mostly predictable, boring and most of all forgettable.
