I don't think the actors could do anything to save the tragic writing of the script. How an individual can go from parents being murdered in front of their eyes to, okay I'll just move in with you and finish today with a date in a baseball stadium.

.. Also, even James Bond would get a scratch on himself if a house blew up behind him and threw him into a pool. I'm angry with how tragic that was.
