Review of A Woman Under the Influence (1974) by Tara B — 18 Mar 2008
It uses the female lead's mental state as a choice of style... so the film becomes extremely hard to watch (ugly edits and camera angles, bizarre changes in rhythm). However, Gena Rowlands's performance is so amazing that you find yourself forgetting about the movie's numerous flaws.
But it's such a long and depressing movie that I hardly think I'll ever be able to sit through it again.
