Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Allan C — 15 Sep 2013
Roger Moore, the elderly James Bond, comes out for one final film that is clearly the weakest in the long running series. Moore himself was not a fan of this film due to his age, his co-star (Grace Jones), and the level of violence compared to previous films.
Besides that, the film is not all that interesting of a story and although Bond films were always escapist entertainments, this film seemed even more silly than any other film in the series before or since.
There are a few bright spots though; a good Duran Duran theme song, Christopher Walken playing the villain (even if it's a pretty dull villain), and Tanya Roberts is a pretty Bond Girl.
