A well-constructed drama that shows the effects of war not only on soldiers, but on every minor civilian we can think of. A Very Long Engagement, with its beautiful cinematography, bears the similar elegance that Amalie had.
Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Audrey Tautou have both succeeded again.
