Bruno Delbonnel must have a magic touch, for surely his deft vision with the camera qualifies as such. A Very Long Engagement is a beautiful film, one who's golden palette paints a stirring vision of the early 20th century France, setting the perfect scene for an arresting tale of love, mystery, and war.
