Review of A Very Long Engagement (2004) by Ender E — 25 Dec 2008
This movie is kind of poetry. A different love story from the director of "Amelie". Maybe it's not my favorite type, but it was different in an intresting way. "A Very Long Engagement," is set in France at the time of World War I. Five desperate soldiers shoot themselves in order to be relieved from the horrifying frontline. They were punished by leaving in no-man's land, to be killed.
One of these men's fiancee receives information that makes her suspect his boyfriend might have been alive. So she starts trying to find the truth.
