Review of A Thousand Clowns (1965) by Karin H — 14 Jan 2008
This movie left me wondering what's wrong with balance? Why should we have to choose between a dreary job and an exciting life? Of course most of us have to work to pay the rent and everything else, but it really annoyed me that in this movie, that seemed to mean that life is pretty much over.
It's hard to keep a balance between work and play but I truly think it can be done. Not to mention that even the most mind numbing of jobs may have meaning and value because of the people we work with and the choices we make.
A movie that gets me this riled up must be very good.
