Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Nicole S — 07 Oct 2008
This film contains one of the greatest female performances I've ever seen in the form of Vivien Leigh. The complexity of her character is extreme but Ms. Leigh made it work so well and even Tennessee Williams praised her for her portrayal of Blanche Dubois.
And let us not forget Marlon Brando, who gives an unbelievable realization for his character, resulting on a very strong performance. A film that richly deserved to be called a classic.
