Tennessee Williams was an incredible playwright. Having read "Streetcar" and being somewhat familiar with "The Glass Menagerie" I find him to be among the most esteemed of his kind.
Kazan's adaptation of Streetcar, is phenomenal. Lastly, the cast played their part in making it a success i.e Brando played an excellent brutish Stanley, and Leigh truly acted as a conceited "older" sister.
