Review of A Star Is Born (1954) by David N — 31 Jul 2007
Old-style filmmaking at its best. Judy gives everything she has and George Cukor puts together scene after scene of brilliant filmmaking. The scene when James Mason playfully shoots her in the head sent shivers down my spine and the Born In A Trunk sequence needs to be seen on the cinema screen to be truly appreciated for the masterwork of filmmaking that it is.
