I thought this movie was fascinating. Though it is one of the sickest, goriest, most brutal films I have seen in a very long time, I also found it to be intriguing and never failed to keep my attention.

It was well written, the special effects (if you could call them that) were excellent and the acting was fantastic. The main character was a bit generic, but very well done for the situations given. The plot seemed a bit weak in the beginning, and it takes a while to pick up the pace, but it doesn't fail to disappoint once things really get rolling.

The ending is the one of the most haunting parts of the entire movie, and they leave no loose ends or plot holes. While I thought the story of the movie was fantastic, it was also not for the faint of heart.

The gratuitous violence, gore, and depravity of the movie is unpredictable and reaching the point of overkill in some parts. Some scenes were confusing and disturbing for very little reason, though it did a good job in setting the mood for the scene.

Some of the characters were a bit poorly written, such as the main character's wife, but it didn't detract from the story too much. In short, the movie is unnerving, depraved, disgusting, and disturbing, but it was also interesting, refreshing, intriguing, and unlike anything I've ever watched.

If you can handle it, I definitely recommend it.
