Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Adilin I — 22 Dec 2010

For someone who's able to withstand almost any film up to this point in time, I can safely say A Serbian Film sucked my soul dry and left me numb. I watched this with a friend and after the credits started rolling my eyes started wellingl up and we just sat there staring at each other for a good hour before being able to speak to one another. This film will definitely shake you to the core and it's best if no one squeamish watches this.

Needless to say, the film's production quality was astounding - the only reason why I gave it one star out of five. I feel like I'd be doing myself a disservice if I gave it any more. There was a concrete storyline and not just people going on a rampage of mindless sex unlike pornography. The cinematography and production design is also excellent, perhaps the only redeeming quality about this film.

It's been almost 6 hours since my viewing and I still can't get some of the images out of my mind.
