Review of A Room with a View (1986) by D G — 13 Sep 2009
A handsome and restrained production about repressed British aristocrats in love. I could not help wondering if the novel--a form of narrative that is all about looking inside people's heads--reveals more of the inner thoughts and emotional turmoil beneath the stiff exteriors of the main characters.
Or perhaps the whole point is that we can never know what such people think and feel.
