Review of A Room with a View (1986) by Augustine H — 28 Jun 2013
You may not fall for Emerson that easily like Miss Lucy Honeychurch, but the dazzling view of Florence and the poetic manor will definitely blow your mind off. The fateful encounter is not only a self exploration of Honeychurch herself, but also a gradual liberation of female's free will and attempt to hold her own future.
A very prominent cast from today's view with an excellent performance from the English veterans. The interesting thing is the roles they played here is quite different from their fame they enjoy at present, especially for Dench and Day-Lewis.
More importantly, how can you not love the opening featuring 'O mio babbino caro' by Giacomo Puccini?
