Review of A Room with a View (1986) by X X — 12 May 2014
An old romance of sparing verbal wit but almost no emotional common sense, with little cinematic invention and distractingly tone-deaf music editing. It's a strange film, a play committed to celluloid for no apparent reason other than to flaunt the advantage of real locations, which are admittedly beautiful.
